| Drives | Informal social bowls. Drives are open to all and are a good way to enjoy an afternoon or evening playing with different people. These are run on Monday, either starting at 2.00pm or 6.00pm depending on the time of year. However it is important to arrive 30 minutes before the start so that the organisers can arrange the number of players and rinks. Once registered and all players have booked in, you pick a disk which tells you which rink you are playing on and whether you are on the red or black team. Once there you meet the folks who you are playing with and the opposing team. These Competitions are open to all and include: Froom Cup Ladies Pairs H’cap - 4 Woods, 18 Ends. Roderick Jones Cup Mixed Pairs H’cap - 4 Woods, 18 Ends. Smith Trophy Men’s Pairs H’cap - 4 Woods, 18 Ends. (Pairs Competitions are randomly drawn.) Merfield Cup Men’s Singles H’cap - 4 Woods, 21 Shots. Vine Cup Ladies Singles - 2 Woods, 21 Ends. Wilmot Cup Ladies Singles H’cap - 4 Woods, 21 Shots. Kekwick TrophyCup Ladies Championship - 4 Woods, 21 Shots. Garn Men’s Singles - 2 Woods, 21 Ends. 100 Up - 4 Woods, 4-3-2-1. Keene er Cup Men’s Championship - 4 Woods, 21 Shots. For those with a Handicap of 5 or below: Cassels Cup Mixed Singles H’cap - 4 Woods, 21 Shots. |
